How
do I record an audio file?
Recording
and audio file is extremely easy. First off you
will need:
1. A microphone or input device.
2.
A computer with a sound card.
3. Audio Recording software like RecordForAll
Plug the input device into the input jack of the
Start the audio recording software (in this case
RecordForAll).
The
RecordForAll screen is divided into three mainsections.
First there is the library where you can store and
organize all of your audio clips. You can import
songs, sound effects or other audio files on your
computer just by clicking the plus button. Clicking
on the red record button will let you record directly
from your microphone or from another live audio
source, and these recordings will be added to your
library. You can also sort your clips by title,
artist or other criteria just by clicking on the
column headings here. If you are having difficulty
locating a particular clip, you can find it by typing
a word or two in the search box above the library.
The
next area is called the playlist, where you will
see a list of clips in the current show. You can
add clips to the playlist just by dragging them
in from the library, if you want to change the order
of the clips just drag them and drop them where
you want them. At the bottom of the screen is the
timeline, which shows a roadmap of your show. Notice
how the timeline shows the same clips as the playlist
but with much more detail. Each line on the timeline
shows you a visual representation of how the clip
sounds. You can listen to any part of your show
just by clicking on the timeline and the pressing
play button.
Once
you are satisfied with how your show sounds you
can use the export button at the top of the screen
to export in MP3, WAV or WMA format.
